This salmon is simple, flavorful and fun! What a great way to cook!
Ingredients: Parchment Paper, Salmon Fillets, Ozark Style Seasoning from Penzey's Spices (LOVE THEIR SPICES!) *Feel free to use whatever seasonings you would enjoy, Salt, Pepper, Bamboo Skewers, 1 Granny Smith Apple, 1 Lemon
-Place the bamboo skewers in water to soak.
First slice the lemon and apple anyway you want, but make sure the apple is in bite-size portions so that you are able to enjoy the mixture of the salmon and apple together!
-Place the fresh salmon in the middle of a larger piece of parchment paper. (size it like if you were wrapping a present).
-Add a few dashes of Penzey's Ozark Style Seasoning, and salt and pepper.
-Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
-Place the apple slices on top of the salmon.
-Squeeze lemon on the salmon. (two slices of lemon per piece of salmon is enough).
-Wrap the parchment paper and puncture the top with a bamboo skewer. It is best if you have at least two skewers to secure the top and keep it closed: one at each end.
-Because of the parchment paper this only needs to cook for not even 10 minutes, if you like salmon medium rare. For rare salmon, I would check it after 5-7 minutes.
Enjoy!
Mardigan's Recommendation: I love that fishy stuff! If you act real cute and stay really really quiet, they might give you a little piece of the skin! They always say something like "it is really good for your coat Maridgan," and I never understand what they are talking about! I don't ever wear a coat! Humans are strange.
