This refreshing sandwich has tons of vegetables! It is low on calories but will definitely fill you up! Great for lunch at work. This sandwich is inspired by my favorite sammie at a deli in NYC.
Ingredients: Ripe Avocado, Tomato, Cucumber, Cheddar, Bean Sprouts, Lettuce, Bread, Salt, Pepper
Your choice of a sauce or go naked without sauce: Mustard, Remoulade Sauce, Mayonnaise
-If you choose to have a spread on your bread, do that first.
-Then place 2-3 slices of lettuce.
-Add 1 slice of Cheddar Cheese.
-Add a generous serving of bean sprouts!
-Add sliced cucumber.
-Add sliced tomato.
-Salt and Pepper.
-Top with the avocado. *I usually cut the avocado in half then twist to open. To remove the pit out you must be fearless! Chop the pit with your knife firmly and twist to remove. Slice the avocado to the skin/edge and remove with spoon. *Pictures of how to open and cut an avocado will come soon.
Jonathan's Recommendation: I want to try this sandwich on the Jimmy John's hoagie bread you can buy for about 25 cents.
Mardigan's Recommendation: Stay away from the bean sprouts! They get caught in your whiskers.
